NEVER TOLD TOP SECRET OF ONLINE BUSINESS SUCCESS!!!

The themes that kept coming up at Armand Morin's Big Seminar came down to a simple set of self-evident truths. The majority of internet marketers that were presenting reminded the audience that none of the schemes and techniques being promoted were of any use without the implementation of three fundamental actions.

Let's call them the three keys to success in internet marketing. The first two are content and lists.

You won't attract a readership or a following without content; good content I may add. So of course, you have to figure out what your audience wants and then build content that caters to that need.

With respect to the importance of a list, internet marketers will tell you that long-term success is dependent upon the building of a distribution list. The great majority of visitors to a website will not make a purchase on their first visit. In fact, most visitors to a website won't buy until their seventh or eight visit according to some experienced marketers. It's the old truism, that people buy from people they trust and they trust people they know. So you have to give people a chance to get to know you.

The way to get people to know you is to stay in touch with them. And the only way to stay in touch with your website's visitors is to induce them to share their contact information with you. For internet marketers, that means getting visitors to give you their e-mail address. To get someone to share their e-mail address, you usually have to offer something of value; something free (and of value) works best.

Armed with a list, you can follow up with your audience. In other words, send them regular correspondence sharing with them information that is of value. This is the trust building phase. Eventually, as you build trust, correspondents will buy from you.

Once someone has agreed to be placed on your distribution list, you had better correspond with them: OFTEN! If you don't stay in touch regularly, people start thinking that you're either not serious about what you're doing or not interested enough in them to stay in touch, or both.

And guess what?! Contrary to what most people might believe, the optimal number of times to correspond with people on your list is once per day. Yes, not one per month or once a week: ONCE per day and for at least 60 days running. That's not to say that your correspondents will read every single word you write them, but you will stay uppermost in their minds and you will get the point across that you're serious and that you are interested in them.

I can cite at a lot of examples of successful internet marketing programs for whom this technique works. Three that spring to mind:Joel Comm (the author of the AdSense Code), Dan Kennedy (a prolific copywriter and internet marketer par excellence, author of No B.S. Wealth Attraction for Entrepreneurs) Dr Mercola (a widely read health advisor on the web and author of Dr. Mercola's Total Health Program: The Proven Plan to Prevent Disease and Premature Aging, Optimize Weight and Live Longer).

And so what's the third key to successful internet marketing? You have to start doing it. If you're serious, set up a website, put it out there in the ether and start experimenting. And here is the true, core NEVER TOLD secret that no one else will admit to but has had to do when they started. They really had no idea how to go about it when they started, so they did the only rational thing under such circumstances. They just made it up! So my advice to you is to do what I and most everybody else who came before me: Just make it up!
